About

I am a self-taught artist raised on the East coast where the seascape is part of my everyday life. I do not take this beautiful gift for granted!

My love of nature, especially the sea, often transpires in many of my creations. My husband and I take relaxing walks on the beach and keep our eyes opened for interesting stones and sea glass which I often use in my work.

In our area, we find Blackstone, Agate, different types of Jasper and many other interesting semi-precious stones; After carefully choosing the best ones, some we send to the tumbler to polish, and others we use as is in our one of a kind jewelry pieces.

I am very eclectic in my style. I definitely love the rustic! Some say I have a hippie side to me, and this certainly often comes through in my designs. I tend to lean toward the free-form, organic feeling jewelry with leather necklaces, but as you will notice, I am not limited to this style; I am careful to remember my traditional clientele as well.

I am a fan of everything handmade and for this reason you will find that my creations are completely hand crafted. My process begins with an idea in my head. I sometimes transfer the idea on paper and work with it from there, but most of the time, all the tweaking is done in my head. Afterward, I'll use either silver, copper or brass sheet metal, wire, pliers, a hammer, files, and a torch to make every component of my jewelry. With the exception of some clasps, the stones, beads and leather, it's important for me to hand make all of my jewelry components, including ear wires, bails, and more, from beginning to end.

I also enjoy photography very much. Although I am but a novice, I do share some of my favorites with you here on Etsy.

When I don't feel like working on jewelry or I'm not out and about taking pictures, I recycle wine bottles and reconstruct them into one of a kind picture frames, lovely cheese plates, soap dishes, bowls and more.

In my over eight years of selling my craft, I have enjoyed meeting and working with wonderful people. I have been blessed with wonderful opportunities.

Here is a quote that I firmly believe in:

"Believe you can and you're halfway there." By Theodore Roosevelt
