Kerry's Profile

About

BeadAria expresses my love of creating beautiful jewelry just as composers create beautiful music. As a music historian and former professional singer, I have experienced the joy of singing the beautiful arias of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic composers, and now bring that joy to creating my jewelry. My designs are influenced by symbols and designs from ancient and modern cultures as well as patterns found in nature. I love the freedom of improvisation with jewelry design because there are no rules.

I've been honored to be featured in several Treasuries and Featured sites. Check them out:

In 2003 I started stringing beads and the next year I took my first class using Precious Metal Clay (PMC). When my first silver bead came out of the kiln I was hooked and never looked back. I am always looking for unusual and beautiful beads to incorporate into my work to create one-of-a-kind pieces. I focus mainly on semi-precious stones but also love using African beads in my ethnic jewelry designs. Please contact me if you would like me to create something special for you.

My favorite quote is an old Sufi saying: "Let what you love be what you do."

I am a Rio Rewards Certified PMC Artisan and Level One Art Clay Silver Certified Instructor.

If you live outside the USA or Canada and wish to purchase an item, I will require insurance and tracking, which will add substantially to your shipping costs. Please Convo me to discuss.
