My interest in beads and jewelry making started when I was a child. My grandmother used to have beads for me to play with and I used to spend hours creating jewelry. Her nickname was actually Beadie and most people knew her by this name rather than her real name which was Beulah. Thus my shop profile name, Beadie. As a child growing up in the Depression, Grandma would string anything that remotely resembled a bead so I guess I came naturally by my passion for beads and jewelry.

I have a Bachelors in History and my love of history has led me to explore jewelry from many era's. I tend to favor Edwardian jewelry and I have formally been involved with jewelry making and designing for more than 10 years.
