About

I grew up in Indonesia—surrounded by wildly beautiful things like turquoise crater lakes, smoking volcanoes and the indescribably brilliant blue of the Bali Straight—all in my own backyard.

Both my parents worked for the national park system, so I was blessed even more than most Indonesians to appreciate the variety and drama of my country. In the evenings, I used to watch my dad do lapidary and silversmith work to create the most marvelous pieces. They always spoke to me as precious gifts from mother earth.

Seeing his creations transform from rough material into incredible gemstones, then to beautiful jewelry, I fell in love with stone cabochons, gems, agate and jasper, and not to mention druzy, aka: drusy.

Druzy soon became my preferred gemstone. The differences of crystals, some small and intense, others grand and bold...from cotton candy to icy iridescence, each geode cabochon, both literally and figuratively like a journey from the center of the earth, to the deepest reaches of the galaxy - from shades of fire and dessert, waters of the Caribbean, forest green, to sky blue druzy and swirling bands like planetary rings giving each drusy crystal a unique crystal fingerprint and its own story from its birth inside the earth, to pieces transformed by the artist's own fingertips and unique style.

Living amidst such natural beauty and seeing firsthand the processes that go into jewelry making gave me a passion for the rough materials and variety in druzy stones that can be transformed into objects of beauty to adorn our lives.

I hope you will immensely enjoy creating with the druzy stones and gems from my rough, wild, beautiful Indonesia!
