About

Using vintage fabrics collected locally and from around the world I began making these pretty and petite hand held fabric bouquets with traditions in mind. They are designed to reflect upon an artful, historic and mindful celebration.

There are not a lot of bells and whistles attached, they are simply stated. Authentic they are a comforting piece to hold during many of life's elevated events. The vintage fabrics are soft and thought provoking. Traditions in tribal ceremonies across the globe often incorporate fabrics into an event for blessings in warmth.

Where the name Crackerjackarma comes from. A noun formed in the late 1800's. Crackerjack meant a person or thing that is remarkable, wonderful ~!~ and exceptionally good...Not to mention a tasty snack of candied popcorn and peanuts with a trademarked name that dates to the 1890s

Having traveled through the middle east in the early 1980's I hitch hiked like I was in europe, The smell of sweet hyacinths and colorful vine flowers took my breath away. I fell in love with everything desert. The landscape of the sand dunes are beautiful and the Bedouin tribes made for some of the most lovely and lasting images. Tea leaves read , hikes high above mountain tops and heartwarming people met along the way left fond memories. Bedouin was the name for me when opening up my Etsy online shop in 2009. I knew I'd always have a caravan full of great vintage stuff to sell and also wanted to make something from materials with longevity and a bit folklore to them.

I enjoy taking photographs and music ~ often my stuff for sale has a song or artist attached at the bottom of the listing ~ its what I'm listening to to at the time of dispersing a piece of me out into the universe for recirculation ~!~
