-----Who are Benny & Stash?!-----
Well, Benny is my husband, Reuben (his sisters called him Benny as a child.) And I am Stash... well, my old initials were ASH, but I put the ST in front of them not because I am a saint for being married to Reub or anything like that (silly!) It's because I like to make bags... that you "stash" things in!

I started sewing in the 6th grade in Home Economics class and would then go home and make things with my mom's sewing machine and fabric scraps. My passion for sewing was renewed when I started making curtains & pillows for my home & clothes for my toddler! Then once upon a time I made a few handbags, was asked to do custom work, and told that I needed a website and business cards.

My passion for sewing was renewed when I started making curtains & pillows for my home & clothes for my toddler! Then once upon a time I made a few handbags, was asked to do custom work, and told that I needed a website and business cards.

I am always looking for ways to put the fun back in functional! Often that means handmade from scratch, but sometimes it means I took a great design and made it better.

Not a fan of repeating fabric/style combinations it is rare that I will make more than two of any exact bag or accessory. This means that although your bag may have a cousin, no two are really ever exactly alike & the item you love and purchase really is "yours" not just physically, but in the abstract sense as well.

I love custom orders, if you see something you would like in a different fabric combination just send me a convo & I will set up a listing for you! We can get specific about the size/number of pockets, or I can even repurpose a previously loved garment. I am always inspired by customer requests!
