I love color and design. I grew up sewing, embroidering, designing in the realm of fabrics and clothing. Then I discovered glass!

They say glass is a unique medium because it flows from solid to liquid and back again. It is mesmerizing to be able to work with color and design as well as qualities of transparency, translucencey and opacity in 3 dimensions.

And, I can create a bead in 30-90 minutes, depending on complexity, so the joy of creating a finished project is quick and frequent (Quilts often took me 3-12 months, working late at night after work, after kids had gone to bed). Beadmaking is almost instant gratification for my creative impulses!!! On the other hand, hours can slip away unnoticed when I am out in my studio. What, it's 2am, again? How did that happen!
