Hello All,

Welcome to life BetweentheLinez! Why "BetweentheLinez"? It's simple really; I've spent my entire life immersed in the creative process, however, in a rather fickle manner. I've never been able to decide what I want to be when I grow up... an artist, a poet, a wildlife biologist? The possibilities are endless and so seem my yearnings. So, I go through life running between the lines of all that strike my fancy! If it's something I want to do, I do it! Then, I change lanes and do something else for a while. I just seem to rotate between aspirations, and I eventually make my way back to each one.

It seems that I've been jumping between "Jewelry Mode" and "Textile Mode" as of late. I make jewelry of polymer clay, beads, and various wires and metals. I also work in textiles, creating both knitted pieces…

About

I also work in textiles, creating both knitted pieces and works that are made with luscious fabrics and various embellishments.

Other times one can find me with pencil, pen, pastel, or even the occasional crayon in hand and wistfully doodling away. And mixed media...who can pass that up?

I am happiest when I get to create with my sons, who are 17 and 13 years old. They too have a keen eye and a firm grip on the creative process. My oldest began custom painting skateboards at 11 years of age, and was eagerly supported by the local skate shop owner. While my youngest has a penchant for creating superheros, has recently begun to design clothing! They are both very talented.

I spend most of my time with my kids and husband, enjoying life here in sunny California. Making time to create and play is sometimes difficult to find, but hey, that's why God created wee morning hours, right?!?

Well again, thank you for your patronage and I look forward to sharing more of my work with you all!

With Warmest Regards,

Lisa
