About

I am one of those rare creatures having been born and raised in Florida! I retired four years ago after teaching high school English for thirty years. I began my art adventure with collage and a class taken from Maxine Masterfield (in fact, two classes) in experimental watercolor. I next learned gyotaku from Heather Fortner and moved into printmaking. I have spent the last six years trying to improve my art ~ moving from one technique to another. Photography, primarily used as a basis for painting watercolors, is emerging and beginnning to be as important as watercolor. I love anything having to do with creativity, color and expression. Words are important to me and are featured within many of my paintings. My art came to me in my later years and I'm trying to catch up!!!
