Ananda Duszynski's Profile
Ananda (affectionately called Nandi by family and friends) Duszynski got her start designing and crafting handbags by chance. While attending fashion design school in New York City, her roommate gave her some vintage carpet fabric from her grandmother.
She whipped up some tote bags out of the fabric. Not wanting to waste the beautiful fabric, she made clutches from the leftover material. Her boyfriend at that time (now her husband) created a small website for the bags and they sold like hot cakes. She's been hooked ever since.
Nandi strives to create "zero waste" bags and clothing by either creating a pattern that uses the whole of the material, or recycles left over threads and scraps into smaller accessories or into stuffing for pillows.
