About

My name is Erin. I am hobbyist, a collector of hobbies in a way. I always love to be involved in the process of making or learning something. With the instruction of my mother I began embroidery at the early age of 7. I'm a self taught knitter, crocheter, rug maker, sewer, soap maker, and upholsterer. I enjoy antique stores, garage sales, and thrift stores. I love making old things new again, the ugly appealing, giving the discarded new life. The list is always growing-
My store is the amalgamation of all these things and more. Occasionally I will feature great vintage finds, repurposed works and textiles, artist selections as well as personally produced art, crafting products and implements, and neat gift varieties. My store is the amalgamation of all these things and more. Occasionally I will feature great vintage finds, repurposed works and textiles, artist selections as well as personally produced art, crafting products and implements, and neat gift varieties. Each product given its own specific attention- what you see is what you get. I can often reproduce my handmade items, but at this point, it is only done upon request and means the buyer is always getting a work that is one of a kind in its own right.
Please be aware that items can vary greatly in price- it depends on how much I paid for the item or materials, how much time I put in, the rarity of an object, what kind of shape it's in, etc. I happily accept knitting, crocheting, and painting comissions, however, it should also be noted that estimated time for a project and pricing can also vary greatly, again, depending on the materials used, the size of the item, etc. If you ever see an item you like, there is a small chance that I may be able to reproduce the item- just ask! My time is very rarely a factor in my works- the things I make often take many hours. I do my best to price competitvely and wih respect to value. I understand you can get a beautiful knit scarf at Target for very inexpensive. However, each and every one of my handmade treasures takes time, patience, and love. There is a rareness and quality you will not find in the big stores.
Although I am just starting out here at etsy, over the following months this little bodega will fill up. My main objective here at etsy is simply to make enough to be able to continue to do the things I love to do. All proceeds go to ensuring I can continue to create with some level of sustainability. I hope you enjoy the store and please email me with any questions or comments at bodega_of_plenty [!at] live.com.
