It's the design and the details that make my jewelry special. Many of my earrings, earwires, clasps and links are crafted by me of precious metal or, sometimes, copper and brass. Some findings, such as toggle clasps and bead caps, I handcraft from silver clay. They're forged to shape/strengthen, and hand-finished. For pieces involving stringing, I always use the highest quality 49-strand wire for suppleness and strength or, for hand-knotting, silk or a strong, pliable nylon. I stand behind my jewelry and I want you to love it! I'm happy to adjust it to fit you or suit you better. (convert to clip on earrings, etc.) See my Profile for more details and convo me with any questions. (I'm a Self Representing Artist Jewelry Designer, SRAJD member #944)

And, while we're at it....about the name of my shop:

No, this isn’t my misspelling of “bon prix”, (i.e. French for “a good deal”!) Although it does make kind of a cute pun.

“Bonprise” is based on the French rock climber’s expression for “good hold” ("la bonne prise"). It’s the prize that you reach for as you make your way up a gorgeous limestone cliff in the warm sunshine of Southern France. We love to climb in Southern France, in and around Provence. It’s a magical place, not only because of the climbing but because of the sights and smells in the countryside and the villages. The herbs, sunflowers, and poppies growing wild, the simple, fresh food and outdoor markets and, above all the bright, warm colors you find everywhere. Oranges, reds, greens, golds, blues -- amazing deep, bright, rich colors combined in unexpected ways on the walls of houses, in cheerful local fabrics and even on your plate at dinner time! So, I guess I love the word Bonprise because it reminds me of all this…..and, I hope that, maybe, the beautiful bold colors and the warmth and style of Provence come through in some of my jewelry.

Thanks so much for looking!
