Welcome to Art Deco Millinery

I am inspired by the Art Deco and Glamour years of Hollywood from 1920’s through the 1940’s. That time when we had the beautiful actresses, the memorable fashions and the unforgettable hats.

I have an extensive collection of vintage wooden hat blocks and vintage hat patterns that date from the early 1900's to the 1960's. Please go to "shop updates" to see some of my hat blocks and the hats that I made with them. Many of my blocks originate from the estates of very famous couture millinery designers and costume designers and are one of a kind. You can select a hat block you like, select the color and the material you want your hat to be made of, and I will do my best to create the hat of your dreams.

I make all of my hats by hand with vintage sewing machines that are over 100 years old and use many antique millinery tools that date from the mid 1850's to the early 1900's. I use very little electricity in my work because I want to experience the the craft as it was when people took pride in their work and skills.

I use only the finest materials with each hat. A quality hat can only be made of quality material.

My mannequin is an exact replica of a mannequin of Jean Harlow made in the 1930s that was used in fine millinery shops at the time. I am honored to have it and hope you enjoy her as much as I do.

I am a multiple millinery award winner and costume designer.

I put a great deal of time into each hat, so know that sometimes, I am backed up with complex orders and there may be a waiting period before I can work on your hat. I give every hat my total attention and do my best to get orders out in a timely manner.

Please enjoy my shop and let me know how I might help you and stop by often, as I am always adding new couture millinery creations.
