Introduction
Hello! I'm Britt Kinder, I was born in raised in Columbus, Indiana where I still hang my hat. I studied elementary education at Indiana University and after teaching art for a semester decided that's where I belonged so my store is a tribute to my creative spirit.

Inspiration
I have always enjoyed and had a fascination with color and design. I am constantly traveling and searching for new trends and in return sharing them with you. I enjoy Art Fairs, Antique Malls, Estate Sales, Yard Sales, Independent Stores, etc. and Etsy of course. I live within twenty minutes of Nashville, Indiana (a hub for unique shops and quirky locals in the beautiful hills of Brown County) and consider myself lucky to have access to such a creative spot. If you have never been, it's definitely a place to pay a weekend visit. Columbus, my hometown, is considered an architectural oasis for modern design. I always reference Field of Dreams, "If you build it, they will come," and smile when I look up at our library which was designed by I.M. Pei or the Dale Chihuly Yellow Chandelier hanging in our Visitors Center window. I'm not only a local yokel, haha. I did my student teaching abroad in Cork, Ireland and my shop name and painting my front door the brightest yellow I could find was a tribute to the colorful and eccentric architecture across the pond.

My Design
I am always snapping pictures of colorful objects and finds and always try to incorporate my personal experiences into my crafts. I've always been drawn to eclectic style. I create my crafts to reflect myself and to hopefully in turn reflect your bohemian spirit. New materials, quirky vintage pieces, and lots of love are put into all of my items. My rule of thumb is if I don't have a hard time parting with it, I shouldn't be selling it.

In Conclusion
Long story long, I hope you enjoy my little shop. I am open to questions, suggestions, comments, or requests :) My policy page is set up so check that out for additional info. Don't ever hesitate to email me through Etsy or at brittane [!at] hotmail.com. I am always looking for ways to evolve and better myself and Yellow Door Vintage.

Keep on Smilin'
