About

Growing up in an artistic and creative household, I was never without a project to work on, a mess in progress, a head full of ideas spilling out onto whatever medium was put in front of me. My favorite thing in the world as a child was a brand new box of crayons- the embodiment of beautiful variety and limitless potential.

Jewelry is my current medium, and I get that same "new crayon" feeling when I pull out a bunch of beads and arrange them in front of me. Naturally, color is a big theme in my jewelry. Many of my pieces start out as a craving for something in a specific color or an attraction to a particular bead or finding. I enjoy the thrill of discovery and acquisition and then the process of turning it into something beautiful I can wear or that someone else may want to wear.

I'm currently obsessed with unexpected color combinations, contrasting textures and finishes, interesting little details, smooth opaque glass beads and sparkly faceted gemstones, unusual shapes, oxidized and antiqued metal.
