Hello! I'm Sandy Steen Bartholomew, of Beez Ink Studio. I am an illustrator, writer, rubber stamp designer, mixed-media artist and Certified Zentangle Teacher. My mom calls me "unfocused" but I prefer "Renaissance Woman". I am fascinated by so many artforms and I have a wide range of styles and talents.
Words to describe my images include: whimsical, colorful, bi-polar, anachronistic, silly, creative, and "pwitty". Inspirations include: ancient civilizations, rusty things, childrens' books, my kid's artwork, toys, patterns, architecture and cereal boxes.
My illustrations run the gamut from cartoony to realistic colored pencil and watercolor. The rubber stamp designs feature characters and props from my "Anachronistic Castle" line, design-y images, and Alex B. art stamps (designed by my son, starting at age 4 - he's 12 now).
My real life studio space is called The BeeHive and it is located were my old store Wingdoodle used to be. The BeeHive is where I vandalize furniture, break glass, and teach "Yoga for Your Brain."
To learn more about my art, and see more samples, please visit my website: www.SandySteenBartholomew.com or my blog www.BeezintheBelfry.com (lots of Zentangle stuff). I am on Facebook at "Beez Ink Studio" and Twitter at "SandyBee"
