Troy Bungart's Profile
Pottery is important to us, isn't it? We are particular about our wheels, our clay, our glazes and our kilns.
I decided to become particular about the tools I use. As a potter AND a woodworker, I have a unique perspective on making fine functional pottery tools which are both pleasing to the hand and beautiful to the eye.
I believe our tools should match the quality and individuality we aspire to in our ceramic ware. We don't want shoddy pots, so why put up with shoddy ribs and throwing sticks? I refuse to use generic tools made with nicks, flat spots, harsh bevels and cheap wood.
My one-of-a-kind tools are hand-crafted in a variety of shapes and sizes. The edges are finished with smooth curves that won't gouge clay.
