Vintage and antique glass is a passionate hobby for me. It all started when I purchased a glass bear at a local auction house about 10 years ago. No one was bidding on the poor bear and he really was so pretty. He looked like a carved piece of ice. I won the bid and the bear. When I got back home I did a little research on the bear using the internet. Found out that he was made by the New Martinsville Glass Company right around 1954. So basically, this beautiful little bear sparked my interest in vintage glass.

Through continued research on New Martinsville Glass I found out they had made more glass animals. The animals included a Papa Bear, Mama Bear and another Baby Bear! So I was on a mission to find them. After several years I was able to acquire the whole family. I was thrilled!

The glass animals made by NM, Paden City, Fostoria and others that range in age from 50 to 70 years ago is just incredibly beautiful to me. But of course, during my research I discovered Early American Pattern Glass. Guess it was inevitable that I would expand my glass horizon. : )

My zeal for collecting all these gorgeous glass items has resulted in quite a sizable collection. So I decided to share my "extras" with the wonderful people who shop at Etsy. I am hoping you will be as thrilled with my glass offerings as I am.

I still frequent local auctions, estate sales and yard sales on my quest for more fabulous vintage items. Very often I will see a non-glass item that I just have to have, either for my collection or my Etsy shop. So please check back often for new, fun items. Thank you!
