Rachel Rose's Profile

About

Rachel Rose created her line in January 2011 after years working in the fashion industry. Having worked primarily as lead print designer and production liaison for several multinational, major apparel retailers, she intuited that people craved something different. The mass apparel production and packaging process often involved layers of trans-global efforts that allowed Rachel little creative freedom.

Thus Rachel decided to align her personal philosophies and passion for clothing design. Her belief in good designs, well-made clothes, created with awareness and dexterity, prompted her to form the Rachel Rose label.

About

Rachel Rose created her line in January 2011 after years working in the fashion industry. Having worked primarily as lead print designer and production liaison for several multinational, major apparel retailers, she intuited that people craved something different. A constantly evolving designer, Rachel’s niche is artfully combining form and pattern. Her popular debut collections feature silk blouses and dresses that have been beautifully hand painted.

Although a fairly new brand, Rachel’s silk tee has developed a cult following and sells all over the world. In the coming seasons she will expand on the hand painted silks, offering a variety of new items while exploring and experimenting with design.

Rachel has a degree in Fashion Design from Florida State University, and studied silk painting extensively at FIT in New York City, after falling “in love with silk and color and the endless possibilities the two could do together,” she says.

Rachel strives for new experiences, seeking out different landscapes, ideas and culture. Travel, nature, art, vintage books, photography, and architecture are among her greatest design influences.
