About

This all started because my daughter wanted a Lilly quilt for her dorm room. We couldn't find anything that quite fit the bill so I made her one. Then the obsession set in. I loved the Lilly fabric so much, I bought a little too much. It didn't help that when my husband saw a new arrival, he would often say I didn't get enough of that print, order more.

At the same time, my niece was going to College of Charleston and a Lilly quilt seemed the perfect dorm accessory for her, too. Then my daughter's friends saw her quilt and promptly ordered one for their dorm rooms.

The best part is that each girl could pick out their favorite prints, customizing their quilts to match their decor and personality. Each one is unique.

I'm an engineer by profession and I always have a hard time keeping the quilts from looking too structured. Luckily, I have a son who is very artistic. He lays out all my quilts. Quite a unique resume entry for him.

Since I had just a bit too much fabric left over, I branched out making other things. Now, I offer aprons, hot pads, visors, golf towels, golf gloves, American Girl doll outfits, belts, luggage tags, key fobs, baby bibs and many more.

As a freshman at college, it surprised none of my daughter's friends that when she called home asking for pot holders, she received Lilly ones.

After making several quilts for the girls, I realized I had to start thinking of the boys. My friends had sons getting ready to graduate so I again branched out, this time into more masculine prints.

All during this time, I was making t-shirt quilts for a yearly school auction. They have brought between $600 and $2000 each. I have made many styles but my favorite is the flannel backed rag style similar to the Lilly quilts.

I have been told many times by graduates' parents that the quilts they received are their favorite presents.

Sending a child off to college? Want them to be comforted while away from home? I have just the ticket, actually a choice of tickets.

Custom t-shirt quilts offer a touch of home while your child wraps up in a cozy, flannel backed, memory filled quilt. Great for cuddling up while studying.

A rag quilt in your favorite Lilly Pulitzer prints will make any dorm room come alive. Check out this modern quilt style, backed with comfy flannel. You don't have to be from the south to appreciate this, but I haven't met a southern girl yet who wouldn't love one.

Lilly quilts are not just for girls anymore. Check out my baby quilts perfect for the new baby boy. What a great gift for the mom who loves Lilly and can't wait for her son to appreciate the beauty of Lilly, too.

I offer unique and one of a kind Lilly gifts for all ages, from babies, children, high schoolers, college kids, through even us moms. I hope you find something you like.

I have a son, too, and his flannel quilt for college has not one speck of Lilly in it. His friends have grown up sleeping on my couch under a flannel quilt. They were so excited when they got a quilt designed just for them for graduation. Their only problem was prying it away from their moms so they could pack it for college.

When one of my son's friends got his quilt for graduation he told me, "I always knew you loved me best. This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." I almost adopted him then and there.

Check back often to see pictures of other new quilts offered. I sell at school boutiques under the name Palm Tree Designs.

I love making these quilts and I hope you fall in love with them, too.
