I began hooking rugs in January 1995. I immediatly started dying wool and soon after I started desiging patterns for rug hooking, wool applique, penny rug and punch needle embroidery.
I come from a family of creative women. Both of my Grandmothers sewed and taught me when I was very young. My maternal Grandmother gave me my first sewing machine. She made beautiful quilts, crochet bedspreads with fine crochet cotton, and did a lot of hand embroidery. My mother mostly knitted and crochet, they all encouraged me to sew and create whatever I wanted.
I've been a quilter for 31 years and still make quilts when I can pull myself away from the wool projects. I love working with wool and cotton.
