Expressionism is the effort to convey the artist’s inner feelings rather than represent external reality. I choose to create images that are derived from free flowing thoughts, creating a layering process of color, texture, shape, and line, which articulate the my mood and observations. The concepts behind the images that appear in my work are derived from experiences, experimentation and the environment.
The most recent images I have created are conceptual, stemming from observations of human and environmental relationships. I am using abstract expressionism to explain my thoughts and feelings. I have also spent much time working on the principles of being a mother, wife and artist.
