I am a mother, grandmother, and a hardworking farm wife for approximately 43 years. When not in the field helping my hubby, I always had a project in the works. I picked up a piece of wood about 25 years ago and started carving with my pocketknife. I did not realize I had a knack for woodcarving until I hurt my knee teaching my youngest son to drive when he was young. I was stuck in my rocking chair for many months so I started to woodcarve with an old pocketknife.
I have always had a project going at the farm. My main focus is woodcarving but I have also been busy working with stained glass. I have also taught myself to make jewelry out of gemstones. I have always been interested in rockhounding and lapidary work. I have recently taken a metalsmithing class with my daughter.
