My artistic carreer began in 1976 as a printmaker of limited edition etchings. I began selling my art at the age of twelve through my mothers art studio and soon I became internationally known. I studied Fine Art at the University of New Orleans. Soon I was working out of my own studio and was producing and selling to numerous wholesalers, retailers, art galleries, and hotel chains. Even though I was consumed in many aspects of art including, etchings, paper jewelry, and some pottery, I had a persistent curiosity of working with glass and had to give it a try. The transparency of the glass and "water like" colors facinated me. After purchasing a book on bead making in 2001, I became a self-taught lamp work artist. Many of my beads in my latest collection relate to great local food and sports teams and are of limited editions of 500. Some beads depict my love for much of the southeast region including Louisiana and my favorite vacation and fishing spot; Destin, Florida. Each bead is carefully handmade by myself giving each one its' own individuality. My studio is located at my home on the beautiful banks of Bayou Bonfouca in Slidell, Louisiana where I live with my husband, son and daughter. Glass bead making has become a consuming passion for me and the possibilities are endless, allowing me to create quite easily.
