Cathy's Profile

About

My name is Cathy. I have been a preschool teacher and daycare provider for 22 years and children's art is one of my favorite things in life. I also love my family and my home beyond comprehension. I enjoy coffee, beading, sewing, cooking, and nature. We live behind a little woods and I feed the birds everyday, especially during our cold northern winters. (the inspiration for my flannel cowls) I garden like crazy in the spring and summer and have many flower gardens and a huge stone waterfall built for me by my wonderful husband. Hunting for antiques and collectibles is also a hobby of mine.
I love to create useful and comfortable pieces. I try to choose colors or designs that inspire a feeling of joy! I try to find vintage beads to add to my creations whenever possible. My favorite beads are old beads that sparkle.

Because I have so much to be thankful for I have a cause I am working on. I have a little collection of theme jewelry that features a goddess charm in silver or gold. This charm symbolizes the strength and beauty of a woman. I am working on a cause with a voice to Stop Being Silent About Family Violence and I will be donating 5% of my store proceeds to the Golden House Family Violence Shelter in Green Bay, WI each year. You can be part of this gift each time you purchase from my store. I love sharing a selection of my own creations for your home such as warm flannel cowls for icy cold winters. I hope to pass on a feeling of joy and comfort in my comfycabinboutique shop!
