About

Welcome to my shop, let me tell you a little about me,

I was born in Brussels and quickly was dragged all around the world as the daughter of a former diplomat. When I was seven years old we moved to Brazil and here is where my love for COLOUR and dance began.

Some years later I landed in Brussels again and was exposed to the many influences of the European culture. My clothes became loose and full of fabric but there was something missing...

This is where I became fond of beads, wool, strings or anything that could be used to embellish whatever I wore. I became a flea market searcher for vintage beads and brooches and anything interesting which adds up to 20 years collecting materials from all over the world.

As a uruguayan the last material I have added to my creations is leather. This was a turning point in my work because I wanted to cut very specific leather shapes to be a part of my jewelry. This is where I bought a machine that enabled me to design and cut specific hearts, stars, sea horses and all sorts of shapes.

In the meantime I was also working as an apprentice in a paintings restoration atelier. The experience gave me a deep insight in the use of colour, precision and, last but no least, patience. I learned a great lesson from the uruguayan masters which left a big influence in my soul... As a restorer you learn to respect what was created by someone else, so there's little room left for creativity. I realized this was not the place to develop my own ideas.

Somewhere down the line I became a self taught jewelry and bridal headpiece designer. Every headpiece is unique as well as some of the earrings and necklaces. Everything is handcrafted and BEADS go with me everywhere!
