I have been doing drawing and painting since I can remember, and pottery since my college days.
I paid my way through college by making pottery. Production style for a company that no longer exists. I became an art teacher and had little time for my self.
Now retired from teaching, I decided to redefine my art and rediscover who I am as an artist. My designs are driven by my love of nature and my sense of awe at how it all works. I focus on the surreal idea of nature.
My pottery comes to life as a seed pod that is also a sugar bowl, or a moon that has an actual human face. Nature with a twist of whimsy and fantasy. My childhood gives me vivid memories of a fantastical world that has never left me.
