About

I love changing the way people see themselves and the world around them through art. Never having had anyone sit me down and tell me how things are done...I pretty much had to figure things out for myself. I consider myself the jack-of-all tradesman. Okay no plumbing, but just the same I sew, knit, paint, carve, construct, design, re-design, re-purpose, build, and can create just about anything you can think of.

I guess you could say I am best known for my ability to take old objects; like your grandmother's sideboard, and turning it into a functional work of art. I love painting milkcans and sap buckets...old saw blades, with memories from the past that remind us how we got here to this point in our lives.

For the past nearly 25 years I spent my time doing custom work for folks of the Adirondack Region and Northern NY. Creating everything from custom painting on blades and milkcans to making signs for homes and businesses. And, when it's too cold to work in the garage (which was like 6 months out of the year, before moving to southern Illinois)...you'll find me behind my knitting machine making hats and leg warmers or painting murals in restaurants and personal residences.

I have moved to beautiful Trenton, Illinois recently. I find all this farm land refreshing; a good reminder of my roots growing up on a dairy farm. Although, I greatly miss the spectacular views of the Adirondack mountains, I certainly can relate to the folks of Southern Illinois. I just know I am going to love it here.
