I began making art glass windows as a necessity in restoring my 1911 bungalow in Seattle where there were a number of windows missing, and I could not afford to have them replaced. After several classes I made the needed windows, and found a love for the Craftsman movement of the early 1900's.
I began studying the works of Frank Lloyd Wright, the Stickley brothers, Greene and Greene and Scottish architect Charles Rennee Mackintosh. I have embraced their work and they continue to inspire me.
Being a woodworker has helped me fabricate frames. I use reclaimed wood and wavey glass from old homes being remodeled or torn down in the Seattle area for most of my pieces.
Sales and commissions of my work began slowly as word of mouth. As I am retired now and living on the Oregon coast I can devote more time to making…
