I used to cut furniture out of the Sears Catalog and make houses for my paper dolls. Then I started making doll clothes when I wasn't sketching on every scrap of paper I could find, or building villages in the cool dirt under the trees for my brothers' Matchbox cars. Eventually I was making all my own clothes because I was too tall for store bought clothing.

I went to art school for 7 years, but could never settle on one discipline; I wanted to learn them all. I suppose that's why I'm so drawn to mixed media art. I love textures; textiles, metal, paper, paint, glass, stones. I try to infuse these…

I try to infuse these with music, mythology, fantasy, sci-fi, and a lot of love. I haven't figured out how to incorporate scent, but I'm working on that!

I finally landed in Seattle where I was a graphic designer for nearly 10 years, until I retired, yearning to make something more "tangible" with my art. Jewelry called to me, so I began to read, explore, and play.

I create in my home studio in very rural Oklahoma, where I live with my husband and my aging mother, her dog and our 3 cats. I am also a sci-fi and fantasy audio book fan, and diverse music lover. Epicurus is my favorite philosopher.

My husband is creating his own line of chain mail jewelry, and you can find his work in my store, in the section titled "Chain Mail Jewelry."
