My work is characterized by simple clean surfaces with subtle outlines and a delicate colour glaze. All my work is porcelain and made on a wheel.

My practice is informed by the Japanese theory of "Wabi Sabi". This code values the quality of simple plain objects, where beauty is seen in imperfection.

Employing just one often-pale colour glaze on a smooth surface my work is austere and minimal. I consciously leave finger marks on my pieces as a decorative statement of authorship that observes my humble philosophy.

My work has been published in "500 Bowls", "Making and Installing Handmade Tiles" as well as having been a guest showing my work on the ITV program "This Morning", rock musician Pete Doherty is the proud owner of one of my pieces.

Born in Yokohama, Japan, I became interested in art and craft at an early age, eventually fulfilling my objective to practice as a ceramist. Now based in London.
