About

We are a husband and wife team that work together to create these tasty treats. My wife comes up with the ideas, makes the research and takes care of the internet/computer stuff, packages, photographs (basically she does all the fun stuff) while I slave in front of the stove with my hat and apron.

It all started when my wife and I started a small specialty gift shop where we specifically sell handmade items. As we make most of the stuff filling our store, we wanted to add delicious, chocolate truffles. We decided to research the subject and came up with a few recipes of our own and then we jumped in head first. Little did we know, but we soon began facing serious chocolate problems. Fortunately for us, the year before, we had just met a wonderful pastry chef from Ottawa, with some experience in the area of chocolatiering. We gave him a call and explained the situation we put oursleves in. He was nice enough to guide us through the process.

We worked hard to get it all together, but in the end it was well worth it. The final recipe we agreed on was a definite winner. The truffles melted in your mouth without being overly sweet. We did it! The next year, our friend the pastry chef, came for a visit and was very impressed with our finished product. Needless to say, that put a smile on our faces.

Each one is handrolled and hand dipped by me; They're a definitely a labor of love.

It's hard to believe, but I've been making chocolate truffles now for 4 years.

We just couldn't live a calm life, we needed to add a little more excitement, so we're now offering something completely new for our store and that's the homemade Salwater Taffy and we are also going to add the old fashioned Taffy. We are very excited to be offering this new line of treats. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoy making them.
