Christine Knight's Profile

About

My shop picture is the first item I ever crocheted following a pattern. I was 9 years old and gave it my mom for Mother's Day. She gave it back to me shortly before she died. I truly treasure it and thought it was a fitting profile picture for my Etsy Shop.

I have been creating items to gift, sell and give away since I was a little girl. I love the process of creating, the learning and the conquering of issues that come up in the construction of a piece. I do love the process and I am so happy when a creation turns out to be just right and even more so when someone else "gets it" and likes/loves it as much as I do.

I work best by surrounding myself with lots of "stuff" and pulling from the stash to create. Most of the fabric and yarns and notions are gotten at estate and garage sales. It is amazing what one finds…

I just happened to find the pattern, in my size, of the first garment I sewed. Being a new sewer way back then, the results were less than perfect, I did wear it several times but now am looking forward to creating it again. Fortunately after all these years I am still the same size.

You will find I am all over the place with what I create. That is dictated by what I find on my hunts, what these found "things" say to me, and the fun of trying out something new.

My goal is to CHOOSE to be happy every minute of the day and I have found seeking joy in the process of creating is a very happy journey. I CHOOSE to believe the world is better today than yesterday. When one seeks Joy, joy is what one sees.

My other shops on etsy are:
knightcloth.etsy.com for patterns and books, supplies, fabric and lace.
eyespytreasure.etsy.com for anything vintage.
