About

Thank you for coming to my Shop! All proceeds from sales from this shop go into savings for a two-week adventure with my granddaughter, Berkley, to Paris, ParisDisneyland, and Montlucon to discover the beauty, artworks and culture of France.

I've been an artist since I was old enough to hold a crayon! I was born in Sun Valley, Idaho. We moved around the northwest so much that I had to find things to do on my own. I drew cartoons, painted and learned to knit and sew early. Life took many turns and I finally found my way into oil painting classes in college. With a diversity of media interests, a degree as an elementary art teacher seemed the perfect niche. And Voila! the perfect position opened for me here in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. For 20 years I shared my skills and joys with my little students and the rest of the week I focused on my artwork and family. I am now happily retired and focusing fulltime on family and artwork.

My first trip to France was in 1999 where I became forever inspired by the beauty and creativity of the French people and their country. I return as often as I can! I get to wander wherever the train or rental car will take me, visiting all of the art museums, chateaux and villages that I can fit into the trip. My French is...improving. My paintings reflect the joy and delight that I find around every corner.

While oil painting is my daily focus, my jewelry is eclectic and fun to wear, pieces I would wear myself! My years of color design give me a great hand at putting miscellaneous beads together while keeping the look harmonious.

You can visit my website at www.christineowensart.com to see my larger paintings, read my blog, and access my Facebook and Pinterest pages.

Again, merci beaucoup!
