Chizoba Claire Obi is the creator of OLAMMA Jewelry Designs. She is a married mom of two based in Simsbury, Connecticut, USA. . With a corporate background, she worked as an Insurance Underwriter and has a Bsc. in Corporate Communications; Chizoba is mostly self-taught and took the initiative to learn about the history of jewelry and designs with the help of books, instruction manuals, and by taking courses. This eventually led her to create and develop "OLAMMA", which means "beautiful jewels" in her native Ibo language. The inspiration for Chizoba's designs is her multi-cultural upbringing in Nigeria and London before moving to America in 1996.

She loves bold, colorful, but elegant pieces with accents of the Middle East, India, Asia, and Africa. She also likes the clean lines of Scandinavian design. She is particularly drawn to gemstones like Rutilated quartz, Peruvian Opals, Sapphire, Aquamarine, and Amethyst. She believes that jewelry allows us to express who we are and captures the essence of our personalities and is an investment that goes beyond being a fashion accessory.
