Clair Lythgoe's Profile

About

The inspiration for all of my designs stems from two sources, travelling and floristry.
I have been a florist for 10 years & recently graduated from a high level floristry course where texture and structure were key elements in design. Studying international floral designers such as: Greggor Lersh, Per Benjamin and Claire Cowling, have inspired me to take the techniques used in floristry and adapt them into innovative pieces of jewellery and home furnishings.
Other inspirations come from travelling around China, India, and Asia. Colour and texture are everywhere in these countries, it's totally inspiring to see the simplest ideas and materials turned into something absolutely amazing. People in these countries certainly know how to "think outside the box" :-)
