I am a registered art therapist and licensed substance abuse counselor by day and enjoy helping others express their inner emotions through their artwork. Before focusing on art therapy in graduate school, I received my BFA with an emphasis in ceramics.
During the weekends, I spend time in my basement, the Clay Dog Studio. My own art therapy involves creating unique wheel thrown, hand sculpted, and carved functional pieces. I work with stoneware clay that is high fired to cone 6 in an electric kiln. All glazes are lead and barium free and all pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe.
I love being outdoors and try to incorporate nature into my work. Since my new studio is in the mountains of North Carolina, nature often stops by to inspire me!
I look forward to sharing my work with you and hope you enjoy looking at my new pieces as they emerge from the kiln.
