I speak to two different schools of thought: Function and Sculpture, the visually pleasing and the useful. Occasionally I channel a fierce battle, a clay clash, and create things that are attractively useful.
I delve into the female form from a first person perspective. I focus on details that plague all 20th century women. Veins, Lumps, Bumps, Stretch marks, Skid marks, Moles and Wrinkles.
I embrace the irregularity and humanity of the functional form. While throwing on the wheel, you will see proof of my efforts and anatomy: fingerprints in my wheel rings, rims that slightly wobble and my name candidly scratched on the bottom.
