Robin Whiteman's Profile

About

My name is Robin Whiteman, and I've been making things out of clay since I was little. The fiber work developed out of a need to create something private in the shared studios of art school, and is slowly eclipsing my clay work it seems. Since graduating from RIT's School of American Crafts in ceramics, I've shown my work throughout the eastern U.S. in solo and group shows. My interest now is making work that speaks and allowing it to find the person who needs it. Etsy has been a great help in this. I live and work between two lovely lakes on a hill in New York state with my husband and daughter. We're passionate about eating as locally as possible and growing as much of our own food as we can on this difficult and wild hill. I'm hopeful that many of us making small changes and trying to live with heart will eventually pay off. Thanks so much for taking a look. There's more to come.
