It all began in the summer of 2008, when my incredibly talented grandmother came to visit. "Teach me how to knit a hat" I asked. Not one to do anything half way, within 48 hours I had made a half dozen hats, and what to do with them all? As the days progressed, those little hats started to multiply. They piled up in all corners of the house. The husband started to feel a little crowded.

To ease the burden, I trekked a few down to the photography studio where I was working as a......gardener. Ha! And so the light bulb went off, as I slowly began knitting for local photographers. My dear friend Kerensa (love her!) said "Why don't you sell them on Etsy?" - and the rest is history.

After working for years as an environmental geologist, I feel so incredibly lucky to be able to stay home with my two little girls and finally explore my artistic side. Creating new knits is my passion....no wait, pawing and squeezing new yarn is......well, you see how they go hand in hand. Pair that with my love for babies, and it's a match made in heaven.

Thank you Etsy, thank you Laura Brett (my fabulous product photographer and good friend) and thank you to all my fantastic customers. My knits go to Brazil, France, Spain, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, Italy, Bulgaria, the United Arab Emirates, Ireland, and even Singapore. I'm pretty sure I've shipped to all fifty states, and if I ever get a spare moment again, I might just buy one of those handy wall maps and a bunch of stick pins :-)
