A few years ago I realized that theory was not enough to me anymore and I felt the need to translate my knowledge of the past centuries into something new. In Egyptian culture, the broad collar has important and magnificent significance which gave me the inspiration to translate this into modern day fashion. Taking a part of history and creating a necklace to become a part of one's wardrobe today in the 21 century.
I start my creation from an idea, a colour or a material and look for other matching materials and colours till I reach a convincing combination. My knowledge of the lore of precious and hard stones according to the magic thought of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance always inspires me.
The craft process is extremely elaborate too implying a reserch of good proportions and right balance.
Each one of my necklaces are different, and I pride myself on not making one of them the same.
