I’m an Italian art historian, I live in Florence, Italy (Tuscany) and I teach history of Renaissance Art at the Fashion Institute of Technology of New York (Florence Campus). I’ve been studying in the art world all my life, but the thing I prefer most has always been my gems and jewels. I have written books about pearls as well as articles about the meanings of jewels and precious stones in Renaissance paintings.
