Julie Harrington's Profile
My natural expression is to just make stuff. Unique and innovative, or simple and pedestrian, I'm not "right" unless I'm making things. I guess I'm looking for my next niche, but in the meantime I'm loving what I do.
I live in a tiny rural town where I frequently need AAA to pull me out of my own driveway. For the last nine years I've been primarily occupied with the gorgeous girl in pink pictured above. Prior to that I supported myself making anodized niobium body jewelry, pottery, upholstery fabric bags and purses, fine jewelry, and I forget what else. My current passions are for felted re-purposed wool sweaters, hand crafted books, vintage button jewelry, araki shibori, costume construction, watch parts and epoxy resin, vintage tapestries, needlework, samplers, antique textiles and i recently started dying my own deerskin hides to make fringe bags and purses. oh! yeah, the one thing I'm never short on is ideas.
