Loco was a blue harlequin budgie.
His sweetheart's name was Coo Coo.

One golden afternoon whilst enjoying a little sunshine in the garden a hawk landed on their cage and grabbed Coo Coo by her wing feathers. Loco jumped to her defence and attacked the hawk's talon. He fought the bird off, but lost the sight in one eye during the battle. Still, he remained a chirpy little bird who serenaded his sweetheart all day long.

Recently Loco became sick. It was discovered that he had a tumor in his abdomen and he died shortly after. He was such a sweet and gallant little bird. I miss him dearly.

These little lovebirds lived in my studio (Coo Coo still does with her new friend Winks) and kept me fine company whilst I worked on my art and…
