About

My love for stitching began when I turned 35 years old. My Mom and I took a beginnger Quilting Class and we loved it. My Mom already knew how to sew but this was all new to me. We wanted to do something together and this seemed the perfect idea. Once I began to stitch it snowballed from there. I started with hand quilting preprinted fabric panels and making wall hangings on wooden dowels. I then tried wool applique using both beautiful hand dyed wool and wool felt. I had always admired the "primitive stitchin" of some of my friends and thought I would give it a try. I love making the primitive pinkeeps very much. Using the gorgeous hand dyed flosses that are available certainly enhance the pinkeep and give it that little extra colour. I have accumulated hundreds of primitive cross stitch patterns and certainly don't have enough time to do them all. My favorite designers are Stacy Nash of Stacy Nash Primitives, Jenny Hoffman…

My Mom was very gifted when it came to a needle and thread yet it took me until I was 35 to realize my love of stitching. I was so very blessed to have spent 10 years learning how to quilt, use a sewing machine and hand sew, all taught by my loving Mother. Sitting and stitching brings my Moms loving memory very close to me and brings me great comfort. It reminds me of the past when we would sit together and stitch for the whole day. We would sit and laugh and sew until bedtime. I wouldn't trade any of that time for anything. During those 10 years I learned to love sewing but most importantly I spent those years spending precious time with my loving Mother, my best friend............

Blessings, Lynn
