About

We are a small family operated soap company. We strive to only use the purest natural ingredients in our soap. You will not find any artificial ingredients in any of our products.
We only use 100% vegetable and nut oils in our recipes. All coloring you will see in our soaps comes from spices, herbs, and natural vegetable ingredients.

Our soap making experience began in 1990. Soon after, we made our first batch of Patchouli soap.
We shared our bars of soap as gifts to friends and family, then we got requests to sell our soaps, which led to invitations to craft fairs and small shops. We still continue to handcraft in small batches right here on our farm in Newport, Pennsylvania without losing the quality that our customers have come to know and appreciate.

Our soaps are made from scratch using the old-fashioned cold process method of saponifying various oils in just the right amounts to create a luxurious soap that we are proud to offer to you. All of our cold process soaps begin with our standard base of saponified Olive, Palm, & Coconut Oils. We make all our soap in very small batches so we have precise quality control over the entire process. After curing , we hand-cut and individually package each soap. You are getting a soap that is finely crafted and one-of-a-kind!

Some people ask how we arrived at the name County Down Naturals. Well our farm is named Down Patrick Farm. When we bought this farm house years ago we researched the property and found it was built by Irish immigrants in 1769. They came from Down Patrick Ireland which is in the County Down. Hence our name County Down Naturals!

We hope you enjoy our soaps as much as we enjoy making them!!
