Rose McCracken's Profile

About

I've been drawing, embroidering and being generally crafty since I was a little kid, and spent many years studying graphic design, printmaking, and fine art at east coast art schools. I come from a very talented group of artists and designers.

My own tastes and talents lean toward the eclectic and quirky. I find the world fascinating, and try to share the unusual things that catch my fancy in my products.

All the items in my shop are made from my own drawings. My embroidered characters spring from a love of action figures - mine are just softer and less bendy.

They can be construed as toys, but I would advise not giving them to young ones who still gnaw on things. Not that there's anything hazardous, I just don't think they'd hold up (or taste very good).

I love custom orders - so if there's a particular character, celebrity, or loved one you'd like to see immortalized in embroidery thread - please convo me.

Whenever possible, I try to use recycled fabric - from my own stash or thrifted - for my printed kits. Unless noted, the kits would be suitable for beginning sewers.
Kit items are handprinted using silkscreen or gocco techniques. They will not look commercially printed. Everything (save Spoonflower fabric) is handmade, multiples of items will have slight variations.
