In 1989 I moved from Germany to the United States. From 1996 – 2000 where I took several art classes at the University – drawing – painting – design – pottery.
As long as I can remember I was interested in (handarbeiten) handiwork. I have been sewing, knitting, crocheting for my family and myself.

In 2005 I decided to start my own business CreationsbyIngrid. I prefer to work with fiber to create unique accessories, such as purses, belts, scarves, wallets.
My designs are totally determined on the availability of material, mostly recycled fabric samples, used denim, fabric, leather, magazines and they are ONE OF A KIND.

I also handcraft jewelry and wall art from recycled material. I use discarded aluminum cans, computer keys/boards, and used eyelets, soda tabs.
My purpose of creating my artwork is to use recycled material as much as possible to execute and create that ONE OF A KIND piece.

I like to show, especially the younger generation, that unique accessories can be made from recycled materials, that can be enjoyed and for the best part you can be an individual using it.
In my spare time I give free Knitting and crochet lessons to children at the local Library.

It has never been so fashionable to use recycled material to create the ONE OF A KIND creation. It is our responsibility to keep the environment preserved for generations to come.
