I am a full time mother, wife and worker. In my spare time (...lol...) I enjoy think up and creating new ideas and themes. Making jewelry is somewhat relaxing to me. I am always on the lookout for unique ideas to include in my creations.

I really enjoy making jewelry with the paper beads that I have created. I hand cut and roll each bead out of paper. Then I have my own process to seal and protect the beads. This process makes them shiny, durable and water resistant, yet lightweight.

Here is your history lesson for today...PAPER BEADS!

Paper bead rolling was a traditional craft, which was popular at the turn of the 19th century.

With a desire to create decorative items that would enhance their homes, and give them a practical pastime, Victorian ladies used scraps of wall paper to hand roll beads, the beads were then strung onto long pieces of yarn, which once completed were hung up to create curtains, used to separate rooms.
