Welcome to the world of crochetHQ!

A bit about me...
Allow me to introduce myself- my name is Robyn, I'm 48, and a mother of 27 year old twins. I raised them single-handedly, and I think I did a pretty good job!
I learned how to crochet when I was 18- my sister came over and showed me a vest she made, I asked her how she did it, then I VERY casually said, 'I wouldn't mind learning how to do that one day', and I walked away. Little did I know that when I left the room, my mom and sister started talking about who was going to buy me what for Christmas, such as yarn, books and hooks! Imagine my surprise on Christmas morning when I opened all of these gifts- umm, what am I supposed to do with all this?!?

Allow me to introduce myself- my name is Robyn, I'm 48, and a mother of 27 year old twins. I raised them single-handedly, and I think I did a pretty good job!

Imagine my surprise on Christmas morning when I opened all of these gifts- umm, what am I supposed to do with all this?!?
After my sister showed me one stitch, I was, pardon the pun, HOOKED. Honestly- I have never picked up a hobby that I love soooo much! I was a smoker way back then, and within 2 weeks of learning how to crochet, I quit smoking- my hands were too busy and I had WAY better things to spend my money on than cigarettes!
Fast forward many, many years...
I walked into work one day after having made myself a purse- I wanted to show it off and get co-worker's opinions. My boss excitedly grabbed it from me, and proceeded to 'wear' it, telling me how she wanted hers made, saying that I could make a killing doing this as a second job... well, I didn't make it a second job, I made it the ONLY job- I have been self-employed since 2006, my sales at the markets and craft fairs are growing by leaps and bounds, and I can't wait to make my etsy sales follow suit!

About my products...
When I made my first hat, that was it, that's all I wanted to do! I have approximately 400 hats currently in stock, from newborn to 'big man head' size. I make scarves, doggie sweaters (I need a model!), towel rings and slippers, I do make purses still but those are more time consuming. All of these items will be listed in my etsy shop as time goes by.
Each item I create is an original design- I make up my own patterns, and each one is made with lots of tender loving care. I pay huge attention to detail- it has to be 'just so' or I won't sell it!
My flowered, slouch and ribbed stitch hats are my most popular right now, followed closely by the camouflage line- in case you can't make up your mind, that's what's currently hot! And yes, I do take custom orders!

My store policies...
My store policies are listed in each item posted, if there is something I've overlooked, feel free to contact me and I will get back to you very soon!
Have fun browsing through my shop!
