About

It started as yet another project.......... to make our own dining room light fixture out of re-claimed barn wood with lights that resembled pillar candles. How hard could that be? Not too bad .......... until I had to search for shades. I thought they would be readily available. They weren't. I've always loved making a variety of things with my hands and decided there HAD to be a way. During the process, I discovered that the painted shades I crafted looked beautiful over plain votive candles. It's a simple idea, but one I had never seen executed in this way. After the fixture was finished, I made several shades for family and friends and discovered that there were others who loved them as much as I did. And here I am.................
